The oxidation of jewelry is due to multiple factors such as the pH of the skin, air, harmful products, etc.

Stainless steel is a material known for its resistance. Our ZAG jewellery does not rust, it is made to accompany you every day!

As mentioned before, stainless steel is very durable and can therefore be in contact with water without the material changing colour. You can keep them on you without any risk!

Caring for your stainless steel jewellery, step by step

The quality and resistance of our jewellery are great assets of our brand: 316L stainless steel is a hypoallergenic and very resistant metal, especially underwater. However, you should not neglect the maintenance of your jewellery. Here are our tips for keeping your jewellery sparkling:

1. Our jewellery can be kept underwater (in the shower, at sea and in the swimming pool) but rinse them under clear water after each use: this will clean them of limescale, chlorine and salt, for example.
2. If you wear your jewellery every day of the year, it is possible that the material may be damaged due to the friction of the jewellery against the skin, surfaces, and clothing. Therefore it's best to let your jewellery rest from time to time.
3. When you are not wearing them, store your jewellery in their pouch or box, away from sunlight - for necklaces and bracelets, tie them and leave the clasp of the pouch sticking out so that they do not get tangled
4. For earrings, we recommend storing them carefully so that they do not rub against each other.
5. Our jewellery is resistant but we still advise against putting it in contact with cosmetic products (perfumes, creams) and household products (bleach, dish soap) because this could harm the material, especially our jewellery made from natural stones.
6. To restore their shine, you can clean them with a soft cloth or with a chamois, a fabric that is perfect for this.

It is by maintaining them in the right way that your jewellery will be able to accompany you for the longest time!

Your ZAG stainless steel jewellery deserves the best care. Remember to maintain it frequently with this guide. Our tips will allow you to keep your jewellery as long as possible.
